Numerous options exist for customers wishing to purchase photographic images from this site. By clicking on the "Options and Prices" link next to a particular image, you can view a drop-down list of different image sizes and styles. These are explained briefly below. If you have any additional questions or preferences, please include them in your orders or use the "Contact" tab to list any needs you have. Thank you!
Image Sizes
Image sizes are listed in inches, from 4x6 through 16x20. For the 4x6 and 5x7 sizes, standard prints will be used unless otherwise requested. For 8x10 and larger sizes, custom prints will be developed. Images for purchase can be resized to fit the dimensions chosen on the drop-down list. If you prefer to have images printed in the dimensions shown on gavinemmons.com, and these do not correspond precisely with the drop-down list options, that is perfectly fine; simply select the size that corresponds most closely with your preference, and use the "Contact" tab to communicate your needs directly to me. For sizes larger than 16x20, use the "Contact" tab to detail your needs.
Image Styles
For most print sizes, you can choose to receive photos unmounted, on mount board, or framed in archival mat. For 4x6 sizes, you can receive prints unmounted or affixed to and framed on card stock.
There are a number of options for mount board and for framing in archival mat. Mount board refers to a permanent backing to the photo that is flush with the dimensions of the photo. Standard mount board used is Gatorboard, a 1/4- to 1/2-inch thick rigid black foam board that resists warping of photos over time. Other mount board options with additional costs to the photo purchase include archival fiber board, archival foam core, and museum-quality rag white 4-ply mount board.
Photo Paper Options
Standard photographic paper used for prints is Kodak Endura professional lustre paper. Images can also be printed with matte, gloss, super-gloss, and metallic finish.
Photos in archival mat are sandwiched beneath archival matboard as a preparation for framing beneath glass or acrylic. Customers can either allow me to choose the mat colors and dimensions for framing or give me specifications to work with. For information and pricing on framing prints with wood or metal frames beneath glass or acrylic, please use the “Contact” tab.
An additional option in the drop-down menu is to have Laminated Prints created from photographic images. Photographs are printed and then covered with a laminated covering that protects photos from UV rays, scratches and smudging, and precludes the need for glass or matting. Use the "Contact" tab for further information and pricing on these options.
If you have any questions, please contact me and we can discuss photo options and pricing. Thank you for your interest!
